Filled with strategies developed from years of SEND experience.

Helpful Hint for SENDCOs: In addition to the one page pupil profiles/pupil passports, create a small 'to support my learning I need:' card - 8 x 8cm max - with up to 6 of the most useful strategies for that pupil. This can be stuck in the planner and gives the pupil a clear voice!
So pleased to see that my book. S.E.N.D. Help is now getting into schools, supporting SENCOs to give teachers strategies to support those in their charge. Here are a few of the reviews:
"Darn it I wish we’d had this book ten years ago when the kids were in school! Actually it’s still relevant now, even though our youngest is 17. This book has great ideas and recommendations that apply into adulthood, and for everyone who is a parent or carer for someone with special needs - or in fact has additional needs themselves. It also has case studies, which I love. Compassionate, empathic, practical, and engaging, in short, very highly recommended."
"Wonderful read. Not only helped me as a teacher/ future SENCO but mother. The book is tactile and easy to hold (comfortable in the hand... and head!
Easy to read and understand - a book for everyone! Helpful and practical resouces. If I could have given it 6 stars, I would!
Thank you, Dr Helene"
"Every school should have a copy of this."

The children were engaged by the multisensory experience, as they listened to the sound of the Shofar, shook the Lulav and Etrog, smelt the citrusy scent of the Etrog and enjoyed tasting apples with honey.
